Pilot's new DEF diluting facility in Ohio

Pilot Flying J is expected to start diluting concentrated urea solution at their new DEF facility in Struthers, Ohio. The company has partnered with the Mahoning Valley Railway Company (MVRC) for the transportion of concentrated urea solution to the Ohio site along its six-mile freight line. The new Pilot facility is located on the eastern border of the state and it is well positioned to serve its 58 truck stops in the surround region of Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Mahoning Valley Railway Company (MVRC) is a subsidiary of Genesee & Wyoming Inc, who acquired the company in 2008, the Ohio-based company operates a six-mile track in eastern Ohio that has interchanges with Norfolk Southern and CSX Transportation railway lines. Following the acquisition, their network is a member of G&W's 13,000 mile freight rail network that operates in 41 US states and 4 Canadian provinces. There have been reports that MVRC wish to extend their network to other DEF terminal points in Ohio and Pennsylvania following this latest partnership.
