TECALEMIT launches new Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) weights and measures platform for card-lock applications

Niels Tholen - 17 December 2014

TECALEMIT has announced it will launch its new Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) weights and measures platform for card-lock applications in Q1 2015. The new unit will be able to handle existing components such as hoses and nozzles and is both US Weights & Measures and Measurement Canada approved. The increasing need for DEF has resulted in additional card-lock locations and resale out of bulk, which in turn has boosted demand for a compact and flexible measuring unit. The products are especially targeted to small retailers enabling them to use compact measurement systems. Devices will come either in in-door, out-door, full-size or fully integrated service dispenser format.

Andy Cuadra, Director of Marketing at TECALEMIT, said: 'The immediate need was to develop these initial packages with the direct intent of placing the unit(s) indoors for service lane applications."

Flow rates of the device are set at 10-50 L/min for Canada and 2-20 GPM for the US.
