DEF Tracker: Most Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) prices fall in November, but remain more stable than in H1 2014

The latest edition of DEF Tracker reported decreases in Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) prices for all but one of the major formats in November.

In the U.S., average LTL prices decreased by US$0.02/G between October and November, while the average FTL price increased by US$0.01/G over the same period. Bulk delivery prices decreased across all formats in Canada, with both FTL and LTL prices falling by CA$0.02/L month-on-month.

In the U.S., tote refills were US$0.01/G lower in November compared to October. In Canada, tote refills dropped by CA$0.01/L.

The average U.S. pump price stayed at $2.79/G for the eighth consecutive month in November, and in Canada, average pump prices remained at CA$0.80/L.

The average 2.5 gallon jug price decreased by $0.07/G in the U.S. in November and by CA$0.14/L in Canada.

The decrease in almost all DEF price references in November was in line with the continued softening of urea prices as a result of slow seasonal demand.
