Midwest Fertilizer to build $2.8bn manufacturing plant

Midwest Fertilizer has confirmed that it plans to begin building a $2.8billion, 220-acre manufacturing facility in southwest Indiana. The plant will produce 2 million tons of ammonia, urea, urea ammonium nitrate and diesel exhaust fluid each year, and is expected to create 185 permanent jobs.

Construction is due to begin next year, with operations beginning in 2022.
