JCB introduce Tier IV Final engines in their 2015 Models

Ben Treadwell - 18 May 2015

JCB has developed its own range of Ecomax diesel engines which achieve Tier IV Final emissions standards without the need of a diesel particulate filter. The new engines reduce cost and complexity for customers by keeping the need for maintenance to a minimum.  Both the 3CX, 3CX-14, and 4CX now feature Selective Catalytic Reduction and remain rated at 91hp and 109hp respectively. The new units feature a 19L tank located on the side of the vehicles to prevent the possibility of contamination of the Diesel Exhaust Fluid. Engines will use the same engine oil as seen on previous models, feature a more powerful 150A alternator and a relocated water/fuel separator.
