DEF Tracker: U.S. DEF bulk prices decrease in July; Canadian prices up

The July edition of DEF Tracker highlighted that U.S. average prices for tote refills and multi-drop (LTL) deliveries decreased by one and two cents per gallon respectively, during the month of July over the previous month.In Canada, on the other hand, average prices were two cents per litre up for both tote refill and multi-drop deliveries compared with June.

The U.S. national average price was pulled down by most of the MSAs in the East Coast region, while some MSAs located on the West Coast posted higher prices during July. Amongst all the MSAs covered, the highest average price for tote refills was found in Phoenix, AZ and the lowest in Atlanta, GA.

DEF truck stop prices have remained stable at $2.79 per gallon in the U.S. since November 2012 and at CAD$ 0.80 per litre in Canada since October 2011. Twenty-four pumps distributing bulk DEF were added to the network in the United States over the last month.
