The average price of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) at the pump in
the U.S. fell by one cent to $2.75/G between December and January,
after gaining three cent in each of the previous two months,
according to DEF Tracker.
The
number of locations offering bulk DEF at the pump in North America
numbered 396 at time of press on 27 January, 2012.
DEF
tote refill prices fell in four of the five U.S. metropolitan
references covered by the Tracker, and less than full truck load
(1,000-4,000 gallons) bulk deliveries fell in all five
cities.
There
was no change in the Canadian DEF pump price, which remained at
CAD$0.80/L over the reporting period, a price set by Pilot Flying J
which operates the only bulk dispensing faciltiies at retail
locations in the country.
