Blackmer introduces two new Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) pumps

Christopher Goodfellow - 21 February 2012

Pump manufacturer Blackmer has introduced two new Diesel Exhuast Fluid (DEF) pump ranges, the STX1220A-DEF positive displacement and STX3-DEF sliding vane pumps.

The STX1220A-DEF range has been designed specifically for use in applications involving DEF transfer from storage tanks into IBC totes, drums and jugs. It is designed to operate at the lower flow rates that the handlers of DEF require, with a range of 42 gpm (159 lpm) to 92 gpm (348 lpm).

The STX3-DEF sliding vane pumps are made from 316 stainless steel with external ball bearing construction, non-metallic Duravanes, and Blackmer chemical mechanical seals to provide longer transport pump life with liquids such as DEF. High-capacity flow of up to 250 gpm (946 lpm), differential pressures up to 125 psi (8.6 Bar) and pump speeds up to 800 rpm, mean a 6,000 gallon tanker can be unloaded in about 24 minutes.
