Over 550 North American travel centers under the brand names Pilot and Flying J have now completely merged under the new company name, Pilot Flying J.
Pilot Flying J now operates in 43 US states and six Canadian provinces. The company aims to provide more fuelling options for customers, as former Pilot locations now accept the Transportation Clearing House (TCH) card whilst many former Flying J locations are accepting Comdata cards, and it is rolling out an aggressive installation programme for bulk DEF. Other plans for upgrades include new restaurant openings, enhanced drivers' lounges and renovated showers and restrooms.
As a condition of the acquisition Pilot Flying J were required to sell 26 Flying J locations.
Pilot Flying J currently has 90 locations offering bulk DEF, with plans to install bulk facilities at approximately 100 more locations by October 2011.
