US DEF pump network reaches 150 locations mark

There are now 156 truck stops across North America which have Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) pumps. Of these locations Texas has the most developed network with 21 pumps, in addition, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, Ohio, and Missouri all have more than 5 pumps.

The leading branded travel center for locations equipped with bulk DEF pumps is Pilot with 73, while Love's Travel Stops comes in a close second with 70 trucks stops offering the facility. The remaining pump locations are made up of small and medium-sized travel center chains and independent truck stops, all of which have heavy-duty access and dedicated truck lanes.

The average per-gallon price for DEF purchased at a truck stop is $2.84 in the West Coast US region, $2.84 in Central and Southern regions, and $2.60 in the East Coast region, according to issue 13 of Integer's AdBlue and DEF Monitor, published in May.
