A heating system designed to keep Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) totes, drums and pumping units at a constant temperature has been unveiled by Powerblanket.
The system, which can be used outside, protects units to temperatures of -40oC using patented GreenHeat Technology and can be installed in less than 10 minutes, according to the company's Managing Partner.
Aaron Evans, told discoverDEF.com: "Powerblanket is the market leader in providing heating solutions for IBC totes, drum and tanks. With the new initiative the company is uniquely positioned to be the industry leader in freeze protection for DEF, from 275/330 gallon totes to large DEF storage tanks."
Internal temperature controllers and the blanket's polythene cover create an even distribution of heat which prevents the localised boiling of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) in extreme temperatures.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) producers, distributors and equipment manufacturers were consulted throughout the designing of the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) heaters to ensure that Powerblanket's existing heating system technology was applied to meet the needs of end users, added Evans.
