Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) equipment supplier Blue1USA has developed an epoxy liner for carbon steel storage tanks in conjunction with Carboline Coatings that is compatible with Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF).
With the new liner technology, Blue1USA aims to provide a long term, underground and economical solution for the bulk storage of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). The fluid is corrosive to mild steel and light-duty plastics, and ISO 22241 states that it is not compatible with carbon steel, however, the liner has been independently tested and proven to resist corrosion and not contaminate DEF.
Dave Polak, Managing Partner of Blue1USA, said: "We are pleased with the relationship developed with Carboline since this quest began. Their research, expertise and recognition as one of the premier coating suppliers in the world have given us the confidence that we now have the ideal strategic partner to help our customers with all their DEF storage needs. And, most importantly, this liner has already been approved for use by the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) suppliers themselves."
Blue1USA is an integrated manufacturer and distributor of DEF storage and dispensing systems with headquarters in Duluth, GA, and manufacturing facilities in North Little Rock, AR.
