ASTM and API to discuss DEF testing standard

Standards body ASTM International is hosting a meeting to discuss developing standards for Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) testing, with support from the American Petroleum Institute, on the 6 January 2011.

Potential subjects for the consensus standards include storage materials and containers, identification of organic impurities, determination of material suitability, shelf life of the fluid, distribution systems, climatic impact and fluid disposal.
