Yara begins shipments of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) to two US terminals

Yara has started shipping Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) into US terminals in Baltimore, PA, and Port Huenemee, CA, from its European production plants.

Rolf Isberg, Global Head for Air1 at Yara, told discoverDEF.com that the company plans to add one or two more import terminals in 2011.

The vessels have a capacity of between 34,000 and 38,000 tons. This is split into between 15 and 20 compartments to allow the company to vary the amount of fertilizer products and DEF in any one shipment.
