Agrium to be Old World Industries' exclusive urea supplier

Agrium has signed a deal with Old World Industries to be its exclusive supplier of DEF grade prilled urea for the manufacture of BlueDEF.

Agrium expects the North American DEF market to exceed 1.5m tons of urea equivalent (1bn gallons of DEF) by the year 2020. A spokesperson for Agrium said:  "The tonnage supplied from the Borger facility will start from a small base and is expected to grow at a rapid rate over the next five to 10 years."

Agrium will supply the urea from its nitrogen facility in Borger, Texas.
